Cancer stricken singer Kylie Minogue is determined to become the ‘best auntie’ she can as she fears she will never be able to have children.

Kylie (currently being treated for breast cancer) is overjoyed with the news that her brother Brendan is to become a father.
However her joy is said to be “tinged with sadness” after doctors told her she would probably never have children because of the effects chemotherapy treatment has on fertility.

A friend of the star said, “Kylie is thrilled for Brendan - but the news was tinged with a little sadness. She is determined not to feel sorry for herself and will concentrate on being the best auntie she can be. She can’t wait to hold the baby in May.”

Kylie, 37, who is engaged to French actor Olivier Martinez, could still have a slim chance of conceiving if she fully recovers from the cancer, but may have to undergo fertility treatment.

Earlier this week Kylie’s mother, Carole Minogue traveled from Melbourne, Australia to Paris to help her daughter beat breast cancer.
