Singer Janet Jackson has finally broken her silence over the claims she has a secret teenage daughter.

Although she has remained tight-lipped over the allegations until now, the sexy singer has rubbished reports she had a baby with ex-husband James DeBarge 18 years ago.

Jackson said in a statement, “I do not have a child and all allegations saying so are false.”

Earlier this week, Janet’s former brother-in-law Young DeBarge told a US radio station Janet has an 18-year-old daughter named Renee.

Young claimed Renee was sent away to live with the eldest of the Jackson siblings, Janet’s sister Rebbie. He is quoted as saying, “James and the Jackson family kept everything real close, real tight.”

Jackson’s family lawyer admitted that this issue had come up earlier and he confronted his client to verify the claims. He says, “The answer is no way, no how. From the sisters to the mother, every last one of them said it never happened.”

Jackson and singer James DeBarge were married for just three months in 1984 when she was 18.
