Madsen talk about Tarantino’s film
Michael Madsen, talking about director Quentin Tarantino’s four hour war epic Inglorious Bastards, slipped a few more details.
Back in March, it was in the news, thanks to Michael, that the film would be released in two parts, ala Kill Bill.
“Quentin’s written it now,” said Madsen, “but we’ve not started shooting yet. I’ve read it and you know the Dirty Dozen? It’s a bit like that.”
While Madsen was tight-lipped on his role in the film, he did drop a few casting hints. Adam Sandler and Bo Svenson have been attached to the film at various points, and while Svenson wasn’t on the list, a couple of other interesting names are.
“It’s going to be myself and Tim Roth,” Madsen told us most assuredly, “Adam Sandler and Eddie Murphy are in it too.
Roth has, worked with Tarantino before on Reservoir Dogs and Pulp Fiction, but Sandler and Murphy will both be new additions to Tarantino acting circle.
Inglorious Bastards is the story of a group of disgraced U.S. soldiers during World War II who manage to escape the execution squad by going on a daring mission to help the Allies in the fight against the Nazis.
Madsen will play Babe Buchinsky, homage to Charles Bronson, whose real last name is actually “Buchinsky”.
