Superstar Tom Cruise is planning to marry fiancée Katie Holmes in Mexico’s Maroma resort, in a multi-million dollar “Arabian Nights” style

The Hollywood actor has reportedly told his California-based wedding planner Kevin Lemon to create “the event of the decade.”

According to British newspaper, 43-year-old Cruise was staying at the Maroma resort in May. He was a first furious at being told that he could not stay in the presidential suite because of a wedding. He gate-crashed the celebrations and was so impressed by the arrangements that he immediately said he wanted a same one.

“Tom was really impressed by what he saw. That’s when he got his people to call Kevin Lemon and they said, ‘Can you make it identical but with millions of flowers?’�

Kevin was really excited about planning such a massive wedding, especially after Tom said that he could have a blank cheque for the ceremony.

Their wedding is expected to take place later this year.

In the $1 million wedding that inspired Cruise, an American couple got married on the white sandy beach at the resort. 300 bare-footed guests went up a path lined by 500 candles to a castle where the party was held. A huge jungle scene was depicted at the entrance to the castle. The inside was decorated like an Arabian temple. The couple’s wedding cake had five tiers.

However, the ‘Batman Begins’ actress told America’s W magazine she doesn’t want a glitzy affair when the couple exchange vows but wants it to be low key. Holmes, 26, also revealed she is looking to wear an understated, classical gown for the wedding.
