Britney Spears has given birth to a baby boy

The singer gave birth to a son by caesarean section at the UCLA Medical Centre in Santa Monica around 1pm on 14.09.05. The Pop singer’s web site announced the birth.

“It’s a boy!” said the greeting on www.britneyspears.com, over a picture of blue balloons and Spears kissing her husband Kevin Federline. It added, “Everyone is happy, healthy and doing wonderful. Thank you all for your love and well wishes.”

Britney and husband Kevin Federline, who already has two children with ex-girlfriend Shar Jackson, have reportedly named the tot Preston Michael.

The 23-year-old beauty recently admitted she would probably have a caesarean operation. She said, “I have a feeling I’m going to have an operation. I don’t know why, but I hope so.

“I don’t want to go through the pain. My mom said giving birth was the most excruciating thing she’s ever gone through in her entire life. If a C-section doesn’t happen, I’ll be like, ‘Epidural, please!’”
