Supermodel Kate Moss has been warned to stay on her guard from a fugitive journalist, suspected of sexually assaulting a former colleague, who recently confessed his ‘addiction’ to Moss.

Pete Braunstein, 41, attacked a colleague two weeks ago. He dressed as a fireman and set off bombs to get into the unnamed woman’s flat. He then blindfolded and tied her up before stripping and sexually assaulting her for 13 hours.

This New York stalker once claimed he and Moss were “meant to be together” and published an article, “Stalking Kate” in American magazine ‘BlackBook’ in 2003. Police is currently searching for him. Officers have expressed concern that Kate Moss might be targeted.

The supermodel - who recently left an Arizona clinic after treatment for cocaine addiction - said the stalker threat was “the last thing she needs”.

Braunstein says he became obsessed with Moss in 1992 when she shot to fame as the face of Calvin Klein. Two years ago he wrote, “I tried to kick Kate cold turkey.

In one of his declarations he wrote, “There will never be a next Kate for a simple reason, Kate is always the ‘next Kate’. That makes her every woman I’ve ever fallen hopelessly in love with.”
