Lindsay Lohan’s dad, pens a song in answer to his daughter heartfelt song for him.

Michael Lohan, who is currently serving time in prison for drink-driving and assault, has written a “song in response” to Lindsay’s new track ‘Daughter To Father’ from behind bars.

Last month, it was revealed Lindsay had written the emotional song about her troubled father. Lindsay is also planning to direct the song’s video. She asked him in her song, ‘If you loved us, why did you do all these things?’

A source revealed at the time “It’s the story of a girl crying to her father, asking him why he did all this to the family, and more so, to her. There’s also something about how, as the oldest child, she carries the weight on her shoulders.”

The 45-year-old father of four, who is divorced from Lindsay’s mother, apologises for his behavior in that song. The lyrics go like this “I may have been wrong for ‘running away’. From problems with Mom. I didn’t say. It could have been different, I know that now. I wish I could change it, just tell me how.”

However, Michael doesn’t accept full blame for his actions. He says “I loved and protected you; I was THERE through it all. I do admit, I did at times fall. But these things you know were due to “THEM”. The ones that want to have a piece of my gem!”
