Harry Potter has been voted as the greatest fantasy hero of all time and Darth Vader of ‘Star Wars’ has been named the best movie villain in a poll conducted by the Sci Fi channel on film fans.

The bespectacled schoolboy wizard, played by Daniel Radcliffe, topped a poll of thousands of viewers on the Sci-Fi Channel. A spokesman said, “It’s great that a home-grown icon has been voted greatest hero”.

JK Rowling’s creation, whose latest film “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” premieres in London this weekend, was followed by cyborg star of ‘Terminator 2′ in the poll of 1,500 moviegoers. Buffy the Vampire Slayer came in third, while “Spiderman” took the fourth slot.

Darth Vader in the villain list was followed by the monsters from the ‘Alien’ films.
